This movie was a lot of fun. I liked it as a kid and really dig watching it with my kid. It’s silly, but also a great time. Definitely worth a rewatch every now and then.

For the last three weeks, I’ve been fighting this gnarly skin issue that I just can’t seem to get a handle on. It all started when I pulled up to my small group on a Wednesday a couple of weeks ago and noticed that the back of my hand was itching. I looked down and I had this tiny little blister on the back. Not a clue where it came from or what it was, but I figured I must have just been bit by something. I didn’t give it much though.

A lot of folks think that Marvel has been on the struggle bus since Endgame came out and they’ve had a hard time finding their voice again without Iron Man and Captain America holding it down. I don’t completely disagree but I’ve been a little more gentle on them and honestly have thoroughly enjoyed most of the movies that other people have taken a crap on. Looking at you, Marvels.

Summary

Kara Zor-El has seen some epic adventures over the years, but she now finds her life without meaning or purpose. Here she is, a young woman who saw her planet destroyed and was sent to Earth to protect a baby cousin who ended up not needing her. What was it all for? Wherever she goes, people only see her through the lens of Superman’s fame.

Just when Supergirl thinks she’s had enough, everything changes. An alien girl seeks her out for a vicious mission. Her world has been destroyed, and the bad guys responsible are still out there. She wants revenge, and if Supergirl doesn’t help her, she’ll do it herself, whatever the cost. Now a Kryptonian, a dog, and an angry, heartbroken child head out into space on a journey that will shake them to their very core.

tl;dr - AI helps me get the nonsense out of the way so I can focus on being creative and I think that might be where it belongs in my workflow.

There’s a lot of hype around AI these days, and a lot of concern has come along with it. Most of it’s pretty warranted. There are things that AI is doing or can do that’s pretty messed up and terrifying. I get the concern and I’m well aware of all the challenges we face, but the key to the whole thing is that it’s not going anywhere. If we’re going to ignore it, we’re going to get left behind. Maybe that’s what some folks want, and that’s okay, but I think it’s worth looking at it logically. There’s some guy that I’m sure insisted the automobile was never going to take off so he went broke making buggy parts. Someone got angry that people were able to use google and find all the information that they once had to study at the library. Even more recently, someone is angry that YouTube has made it possible to learn anything you want from any number of unreliable sources. Artificial Intelligence is just another tool in the toolbox that someone will embrace and someone else will say makes everything too easy.
