Lets Roll

I think I finally wrangled this blog into something I can use. I spent most of the day fighting with issues getting the theme to load based on an integrity signature on some of the javascript files but now I’m wondering if it was a completely different bug causing the issues. Apparently, Ublock Origin in Firefox was breaking some functionality in this theme that I’m using. So while I like what I ended up with, if people running that extension have issues with viewing the site, then I’m not getting anywhere. It could just be me too. I guess I need to do some more testing, but overall I’m pretty happy.

First Post

Saying “first” is kind of an old internet thing that was fun back when every website had a comment section. I remember seeing it on Ain’t It Cool News way back in the day. I haven’t been there in a long time but I imagine that’s probably still a thing over there.

I started up this blog mostly to try out the Ghost blogging platform. It’s open source and I can run it for pretty cheap on a cloud server somewhere so I figured it was worth a try. Who knows if I’ll keep it but I am looking for a simpler way to keep notes.
